La importancia del manejo multidisciplinario en la radiología intervencionista y la anestesia fuera del quirófano

Los procedimientos que se realizan en radiología intervencionista requieren en muchas ocasiones la utilización de anestesia con el fin de realizar un buen trabajo en la toma de imágenes y proporcionar al paciente una mejor atención. Se ha implementado en varios lugares protocolos para la anestesia fuera del quirófano porque esta genera eventos adversos en los pacientes, los cuales pueden llevarlo hasta la parada cardiaca, es por eso que aquí se aborda consensos que ayudarían a proporcionar una mejor atención hacia los pacientes y disminuir los eventos no deseados a la hora de colocar anestesia además generar un ambiente cómodo y un manejo multidisciplinario en el paciente.
Es importante que se conozcan los tipos de sedación y analgesia que se pueden realizar en los pacientes porque muchos de ellos pueden generar reacciones adversas, para el radiólogo
es importante el conocimiento de estos medicamentos porque en muchas ocasiones son administrados por ellos sin la presencia de un anestesiólogo, es por eso que se debe crear un
protocolo y una lista de chequeo para tener mejor control de la situación, además se da a conocer sedación y analgesia no farmacológica que se ha demostrado que reduce el dolor y la ansiedad en el paciente, además de los costos en el hospital, ayudan en el tratamiento de pacientes pediátricos porque estos representan un gran desafío para el médico.
