Abstract

COVID-19 is a disease caused by the new coronavirus named as SARS-CoV-2, the first
cases of which were reported as respiratory symptoms of viral etiology in Wuhan, the
most populous city in the central área of the People’s Republic of China [1].
At least 80% of patients infected by the SARS Cov-2 virus have a spontaneous
recovery from the disease without requiring hospital treatment, about 15% develop
a serious illness and 5% become critical [2]. Even though most of the manifestations
are pulmonary, as the virus has spread throughout the world, more cases of
extrapulmonary manifestations have been reported in different organs, some of
them are secondary to the great inflammatory reaction generated, which implies a
high morbidity of patients infected [1].
In this article, the ENT, neurological and ophthalmological most important
manifestations of SARS-CoV-2 infection will be reviewed.
