Abstract

La gestación, implica que la mujer se adapte a cambios fisiológicos y tolere ciertos procesos patológicos para poder concluir la misma de forma satisfactoria y dar vida al nuevo ser.

Durante esta revisión sistémica se pretende analizar aquellos factores principales que interfieren, siendo uno de los más importantes los desarrollados a nivel del sistema endocrino el cual, es quizá el sistema que más se destaca en esta secuencia de sucesos y en donde sus efectos terminan alterando a otros sistemas, como lo es el aparato musculo esquelético, esto se logra a través de factores hormonales como las proteínas relacionadas con la hormona paratiroidea (PTHrP), la cual está involucrada en el metabolismo óseo, favoreciendo una disminución en la densidad mineral ósea y por consiguiente la aparición de fracturas y sus complicaciones asociadas.
